This department has developed a website with 24 modules of progressive difficulty in English (2006) that helps learners review basic math (statistics) and
science concepts needed for a program in the social sciences at the university level. We spoke with Ms. Elfrinkhof and viewed the website. It is similar in
design to the NWT Apprenticeship Support Materials. It contains modules suitable for grades 8-12. Aboriginal learning materials could link to, or include or
adapt lessons on this website, which is supported with media clips, audio tracks, and quizzes with feedback. In discussion, we agreed that more explanation of
wrong answers, and the provision of several levels of explanation for a concept (as in the NWT apprenticeship materials) would be desirable.
